Ten years ago, that is, in 2020, I was a nobody. I still remember that year. My parents’ hair was still black. My nearly 80 – year – old grandmother could still hear me and walk with the support of the wall. But now, my parents’ hair has almost turned completely white, and my grandmother passed away three years ago.
Time has given us something, but also taken something away. During these 10 years, I have stepped from youth to middle – age. I have changed from being alone to being part of a team. I got married and started a business. I have experienced the hardships and bitterness of starting a business from scratch. I have gone through the changes in life, as well as the changes in survival and the world.
Fourteen years of persistence, working almost non – stop every day, has made my spirit more tired than my body. My heart is still on the job. When I finally put down my work at night, my family has already fallen asleep. Only in the silent night do I wake up to hear my father’s “good night” before he goes to bed. My parents are getting older and older. Grandmother has gone with grandfather, and I’m no longer young. I can’t help but ask: Why? Why is life like this? But the next day, I have no choice but to move on, because some questions have not yet found their final answers.
During the past 10 years, I have asked myself whether I have always adhered to my principles and continued to provide high – quality products and services. But you know what? In this industry, hype (such as false sales) has become the norm. Nowadays, fraud is not limited to the e – commerce industry.
Society is like a dye vat. Countless people are involved in it, feeling frustrated, losing their bottom lines time and time again, and finally losing their true selves. When everyone chooses to go with the flow, when everyone is used to exaggerating, when honest and upright people always perform worse than those who take advantage of loopholes, then each of us will become victims. During the past 10 years, our survival has been threatened many times, but our original intention to operate the business with sincerity and integrity has never changed.
