The more square shape of these boxes turned out to be surprisingly handy. I could fit 8 AA batteries in one without any trouble, and they’re even better for fasteners and small electronics parts. The extra width compared to the rectangular style makes them more versatile for chunkier items.The blue colour is actually a nice touch. It makes them stand out from my clear boxes, so I can spot them instantly, but the visibility is still good enough to see what’s inside at a glance.The opening mechanism has the same issue as the other style I tried — the clips feel stiff and awkward, and I often felt like I was going to snap the lid when opening them. They do loosen slightly with use, but the first few openings aren’t exactly smooth.Everything arrived in perfect condition with no cracks or marks, which is always reassuring with lightweight plastic items.Value for money is still questionable. They’re useful and the shape is great, but the overall feel doesn’t quite match the cost.Overall, a handy set of small square boxes with good visibility and a very practical shape, but the stiff opening and middling value hold them back slightly.

The boxes from LJY arrived neatly packed into a plain cardboard box and inside you’ll find each of the 20 boxes covered with a plastic pouch. Both of which did a perfect job as all the boxes arrived in pristine condition with no notable blemishes or defects. I gave one a quick check and it’s right at the claimed size of 6.5cm, 6.5cm and 3.5cm, though keep in mind that’s the external dimensions and you do lose a bit of space to the walls and rounded corners.They’re very much the generic hinged plastic box you’ll see used as packaging on small items like magnets etc. So if you’re someone who needs to ship, store or sort a bunch of small objects, then they’re a great solution. I’m specifically using them for organising my ever-growing collection of my most used fasteners and small hardware I use for projects and they work well. The lids are quite secure and they can handle being lifted even when filled to the top with brass heat-set inserts or screws.My one minor nitpick is that the supplied sticky labels are tiny, so you’ll probably have to work out your own labelling solution, unless you’re able to fit your hand-writing inside a 17mm by 7mm space. It’s a minor issue that can be solved with a sharpie, paint marker or label printer, so it’s not really something I would hold against them.At £14.99 for 20 boxes of this size they are 2–3 times what you’d pay for them if you’re willing to import them directly. But if you’re after this exact size and colour of hinged plastic boxes for something on short notice and you’re okay with paying this much, then I have no issue recommending them.

These 2.6 x 2.6 x 1.4 inch little boxes are great, I'm really impressed with the quality. They're pretty sturdy and durable, much more than I expected. The lids are easy to open and close and the snap lock lid works really well. My husband put two hundred ST4x20mm screws into one box, turned it upside down and shook it, and the lid stayed closed.I've found numerous uses for these throughout my house. I can fit a dozen chocolate candies into one for my husband to take to work in his lunchbox. I'm using a few to store small cat toys in. My husband immediately took off with half of them to tidy up his tool shelves. They do stack well. They're a good value and have great functionality. I think they're great and would order again.
