These are cute tins. They’re the same size and type that mints, etc. come in. The difference is that these come in pretty colors, and they don’t have any print or stickers that you have to remove or cover if you want to craft with them. Since they're metal, I plan to put a small magnet in each one and use them for portable needle and pin cases. The color is smoothly applied both inside and out. I have a couple that have hinges that don’t work very smoothly so they can be fussy to try and open and close. I think that could be adjusted by pulling the metal away from the bottom case just a tad, but I haven’t tried it yet. In any case, I don’t consider it a deal breaker, and I’d order them again. These were listed at $9.99 when I ordered mine. That makes them about $2.00 each which might be a little high, but again not a deal breaker since they’re so cute.

Great small tins for holding small items. I use them to hold trinkets to trade for ren faires. I like to decorate it with random stuff first. Love that this pack has several different colors.

Small, compact and fairly durable. These work well for making small emergency kits as well as pocket playsets. The metal is thin and hinges could be improved upon but if not used daily they last a while. Overall a good product.

I thought that these metal hinge containers would come in handy for a variety of things! Mainly, I intend to use them for my "bug out" & EDC bags. These tips are great to store tiny items, especially if you are an arts and crafts person! Since they are metal, they are very sturdy and practically unbreakable! Lastly, I am quite fond of the different assortment of colors! If you have lots of tiny items that you want to better organize and/or find some storage for them, give these color metal hinge containers a try!

These are exactly the size of an Altoids tin.The metal is thick and good quality, doesn't feel like it will warp or bend, and ones that feel painted (black, white, pink) are really well-done, the paint doesn't feel or look weird or lumpy or like it's going to flake or peel off.Overall these are great, they'd make a good container for a sewing or mini first-aid kit, or things like individual wrapped alcohol swabs, toothpicks, cotton swabs, anything you wouldn't want rattling around in the bottom of a bag or suitcase!

I have a variety of reasons why I wanted these boxes. They are just what I was looking for.BOXThese come individually housed in a plastic sleeve so if you wanted to give them as a gift you can. They are protected from scratches until ready to use. The box these come in is sturdy and compact for easy storage until you are ready to use these. I like that feature as well as the boxes.WHAT I PLAN TO USE THEM FORI got these because I wanted to put my safety pins in one of them for my sewing room. I also wanted to put hooks and eyes in my sewing room in these, and another for sewing machine needles They store well in my drawer and are easy to see and access. The other reason I wanted these was to make small palettes with tiny watercolor pans with magnets on the bottom to hold them in place.PERFORMANCEThese work great for what I need them for. I like them a lot and might also buy another set. The hinges are decent and they stay closed well. Very nice and great quality. I wanted something reusable that didnt reek of mint like when I reuse those tinned mints. I would recommend!

This is a perfect set of tins for personal use, however for crafting and creating you can find single color bulk quantities for a lower sometimes much lower, per each price.But these are a great value if you only need six, and the multicolor set I received makes it easy for me to know what's in each tin. Small labels are included as well or you can write on them with a permanent marker. The permanent marker didn't clean off very well and the sticker left a residue, both of those could probably be cleaned better with the right cleaner though. I just used hot soapy water at the kitchen sink.So the next thing to know is that these are not watertight. When I was trying to clean the sticker and the :-) off water definitely got inside. But it seems like the lid is going to hold itself close pretty well once clicked into place.I put three little bottles of liquid inside, closed it, and then shook it around a whole bunch and it did not pop open. Well it did the first time but I probably didn't have it secured properly. I did notice that all that shaking did leave a little dent in the lid, so this metal seems pretty soft and susceptible to denting which may change what goes into them.Even with a minor denting, these little boxes seem pretty sturdy. They do react to magnets and whatever they are coated with scraped off pretty easily with the edge of a scissors. That actually might be a bonus if you want to make these look a little distressed.

I like that I could order a sample set of the different colors and finishes so that I can decide which ones would work best for my projects. The tins are thin and lightweight perfect for making small emergency kits. A cute little DIY crafts, the black and Matt Gold have a dollar finish then the gold, silver and pink, which are a little more glossy and the inside of all of the tins of silver you get the cute little labels. I feel like they’re a little small, but I’m gonna be engraving or adding vinyl so it doesn’t really matter that much to me.These are the perfect size for little emergency kits that you can throw in your purse for Band-Aids creams eye drops. I’m actually planning on making some wedding bridal party emergency kits. I’m hoping I can use a laser engraver to do the top of the tens the Matt Gold one looked halfway decent. I don’t know about the painted ones. I was planning on vinyl for those the vinyl applied very well and the paint did not remove when I pulled off the vinyl and decided to use a different font

I got these small tins to store mints and gum in my purse. The brand of mint and gum I like to buy I get in a bulk container which isn't huge but a bit too large to work well in my purse, so I was thinking through options of how to store them better. When I came across these I knew it was the right size and shape to slip easily in and out of a purse pocket. I am also thinking about turning another one into a small first aid kit with bandages and a bit of antibiotic ointment. The boxes work well and shut easily while also staying shut, even when shaken.These could also be used to store other small objects in your purse (such as hairbands and bobby pins or a mini sewing kit) or to organize your craft/sewing items such as buttons, pins and embroidery floss.You could even make a mini lego kit with this, if you have kids, gluing a flat brick base on top and then storing a variety of small bricks plus a mini fig inside. You can keep this in your purse for something fun for your kids to do while waiting at a doctor's office, travelling, etc.

I love these containers. Each tin is separately wrapped. The hinges are nice and tight and open and close easily. They stay closed once you close them. I am using them for pins and bobbins for my quilting retreats. I might even share one or two with my quilting buddies.

There's a lot of project ideas out there for re-using old mint tins. But, many mint tins are embossed- even if you can cover up the logos, hiding that embossing isn't easy! That's where these are useful- nothing to cover up, use right away!The paint job is nice, & the tins are a standard mintbox size. You shouldn't have any issues using these with any pre-sized bits. Plus, you get a variety of colors for different uses. If you're considering upping your mint consumption to get tins for projects- consider these instead & save yourself the hassle!

This set has some colors in it as well, which is nice. Each tin is individually protected in its own plastic sleeve. They open and close easily and are similar in weight and quality to tins I've had before as well as empty Altoid tins. Six of these for under $10 is a fair price.

I love these tins and have so many great uses for them.First, I love the various colors they're available in (especially the pink; I don't know why, but I really love the shade and will likely use these more than the others).They are such versatile little containers - I will use them for everything from just storing tiny things in so they don't get lost, to creating mini watercolor palettes (in that case, I may paint the inside of the lid with a white enamel for paint mixing purposes). They're great for storing straight pins (to keep near my sewing machine), or safety pins, or just about any other small objects in between. You could also very easily decorate these and customize them in a million different ways.The hinges and closures on these tins all work perfectly right out of the box, and they are all individually wrapped, so there's no concern for chipped finishes on any of them. The hinges, by the way, are done in a way that allows the lid to stay open when you open it (rather than falling shut or all the way to the back if they're not supported. I love that aspect. The surfaces are smooth and free of irregularities, too.Bonus - they came with a small sheet of labels! I'm a total sucker for labels, so I really appreciated this.Great buy for the money as well, for as many as you get in a pack (current price is less than 10 bucks).

I actually love these and use them all the time. They are small enough to slip into small pockets, yet can hold a lot of things in it. It’s good quality metal, very durable. Looks very nice, I love the multiple colors. The price is very good and they are easy to use. I thought they would be difficult to open but they aren’t. They open just fine when you need them to bland don’t pop open when you don’t need them to . I’m very satisfied and I will be purchasing more.
